THE GGG ROUTE

The Golden Gates Galllop route follows the main perimeter bridle paths/tracks around the beautiful grounds of Elvaston Castle and is pretty much flat with a couple of very little inclines.

Both routes are on the traffic free paths/roads and are marshalled in many places for everyone’s safety.

The course has been officially measured and verified, please click here for details.

THE 5 MILE ROUTE

Two laps of the course with the first lap including an out and back down the iconic ‘Gallops’ and when you get to the Golden Gates listen out for the famous bell to ring and then head for the sprint finish towards Elvaston Cricket Club and the finish line!

THE 2 MILE FUN RUN ROUTE

Just one lap of the perimeter path (excluding the gallops). When you hear the gates bell ringing there’s only a small distance to go until you cross the finish line!
